   I noticed in the first two photos what seemed to be a fire of unknown proportions in the foothills just above the lighthouse…. Striking, but worrisome to someone who lives IN woods.

   Hi Judy – We do have numerous forest fires in British Columbia during summer, mostly in the hot interior regions.
   This was taken on Vancouver Island. The area that you see is actually a clearcut area from logging. So its sounds like you enjoy living in the woods – off the grid perhaps? Thanks for dropping by. I haven’t posted anything for a few months – just re-evaluating my photographic priorities and energies.
