I recently came across this group of thistles illuminated by the late evening sun. I was quite intrigued by the colours – they were pretty much as shown here – I only adjusted contrast etc,
This shot seems like something out of the land of Snow Queen – the only disappointment is that the main thistle isn’t razor sharp.

Saw it at Crescent Beach – right in front of the corner house by the dock. Amazing colours!
