Nice one Michael! Had you asked a few years ago, I would have preferred the first one, but now I tend to lean away from selective coloration. I would now probably approach this with some darkening and/or blurring of the trees in the background.
I like them both. But I agree that blurring the background would preserve the colour while serving to highlite the tree. I’m going to try that. Thanks for your input!
I would like the color one, if you lower the contrast and open up that deep shadows in the middle and right of the picture. They draw my eye and traps it there.
