I was driving by this farmers field that was freshly mown – and saw a bunch of eagles on the ground – probably hunting for the exposed wild life – so I parked my truck, went in the field and wandering closer and closer until they got too suspicious. Even though I had a good telephoto – I couldn’t get that close, so these images are cropped quite a bit. None of them are really good, so thought I’d makeup a silly story instead!
Very true! I just happened to be driving by a farmers field when I spotted the familiar white heads – btw, I recently discovered that it takes 5 years for the adolescent eagles to gain a fancy white head.
Wow. Where did you manage to take these photos, Michael?

I really like these photos you have taken. Perfect timing. Capturing birds are pretty difficult as you need to anticipate their next move.

So different to see them on the ground instead of way up in a tree!
