I always do these “filters” via photo-editing software – I used an old favourite called Microsoft Photo Editor (2006) – This filter is called “photocopy” – but it doesn’t just instantly appear as you see it now -there are several adjustments to fine tune it to my taste. I find the cell phone screen much too small to be looking at. Besides, its just more fun creating on a large screen. A good editing software choice for yourself would be Adobe Photo Elements 13 (or 14) – It has 3 levels – Beginner, Intermediate and Expert – I think you would like the Intermediate b/c it has all sorts of creative options, but not too complicated to use.
How do you do this? Is there a specific setting on a camera or phone?
