I met this fine eagle late December while walking along the Vedder River in Chilliwack, British Columbia. My zoom wasn’t too great, so had to crop this quite a bit. But I am quite happy with the images including the pine tree backdrop and the orange colour of beak and branch.

Great photos. Of the contrasts of colors.
Happy 2019 to you and yours.

Thankyou Una! I’ve made some 12″x12″ prints for our home and also for a friend of mine who loves eagles.

Thanks Brian! Very lucky to have the nice background pine cones included – didn’t realize until editing. They made a beautiful pair of 12×12 prints! Also happy with the detail and colour b/c this cropped area is about one tenth of the original 16MP image.

These are terrific shots, Michael. Congrats on getting one of him looking at you and also with such a pleasing background. Wishing you a happy new year!

Thankyou Jane! I’m still planning to take some time to peruse your wonderful collection of the year. I’m happy to finally get to printing some enlargements for home and gifts and perhaps sell. This eagle is one of the first – very pleased with the results with my Epson Artisan 1430 Photo Printer – able to print exhibition quality 13×19 prints.

Excellent! Always nice to make prints. I’ve been into making books, too.

Yes, that is something I’d like to try too. Who do recommend for printing books?
