I liked the late dusk lighting and the contrasting “traditional style” with the upper row “contemporary style” dwellings. Location is Promontory Heights, Chilliwack, BC. Taken handheld 1/15 sec, f 5.6 at 280mm (ISO 3200) the built-in lens stabilizer worked very well!

Peaceful spot at Hicks Lake, British Columbia – During summer it’s very clear and warm. It’s a popular camping and picnicking area especially for young families b/c much of its shoreline beaches are shallow and gently sloped. Last summer I spent 2 hours swimming here!

I’m not sure why I like this curious image of snow-laden trees and shrubs against the backdrop of our school. Hard to find an appropriate caption!
I was encouraged by nature blogger Pete Hillman to post these. We’ve recently had two large, prolonged dumps of snow here in the Vancouver, BC region. Apparently the largest cumulative amount in 72 years.
One of the big Ponderosa Pines across the street … We’ve had a very unusual amount and duration of snow in the Vancouver, BC area this winter.
I was about to photograph some snowy trees when these guys rolled into view!
As you may suspect, this image is heavily cropped. Often I’ll discover something interesting or humorous during editing that I didn’t realize during the capture.
