Here are some recent snaps of folks enjoying the Great Chilliwack Outdoors
“Urban Geese” – Until living here, I never realized that Chilliwack, BC was a haven for Canada Geese! Almost every day you can hear them honking away as they are fly back and forth to Cultus lake and wherever … I was driving home at sunset when I heard these geese and pulled over and grabbed my camera to get these shots. You can their feet sticking out as they were landing somewhere.
Settling in at our new old home in Chilliwack, British Columbia. Originally built in the 1950’s for Canadian Forces Base families, these homes in the 153 Acre Garrison Crossing Site were completely upgraded 15 yrs ago during which porches and garages were added. We love the huge trees, quick access to the Vedder River (famous for Salmon fishing), Cultus Lake (Popular recreation area) and surrounding mountains (hiking) as well as shopping within easy walking distance.
Many of this type of “monument” highlight various aspects of the Garrsion’s history.
Recently while walking along the Vedder River we heard a loud squawk!         We looked up and beheld the Stealthy One so nicely framed!
