These energetic little birds can be found in the alpine regions of Southwest British Columbia. But you never have to search for them … just sit and take out your lunch and several will appear like magic and aggressively seek any food you wish to spare!
But Beware of Goose Droppings!
Jacob, our grandson, making friends with a reluctant chicken
I met this fine eagle late December while walking along the Vedder River in Chilliwack, British Columbia. My zoom wasn’t too great, so had to crop this quite a bit. But I am quite happy with the images including the pine tree backdrop and the orange colour of beak and branch.
I came upon this lone Stilted Sandpiper recently. This is the first time I have photographed one. I liked and posted all the images because each one is unique, contrasting and combining this lively leggy bird with its surrounding environment.
